Job Title: Junior Design Engineer - Piscataway, NJ

Position: The Junior Design Engineer is an entry to mid-level professional position responsible for assisting with the planning, design, and field oversight of civil engineering projects. Working under the direction of licensed engineers and senior design staff, the successful candidate will develop technical skills in engineering design, drafting, project documentation, and field inspections.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Civil Engineering. Masters would be a plus.

• Should have experience in design of geotechnical elements for bridges.

• Design experience in other departments such as structures and/or highway is a plus.

• Desired individual should have 3+ years of experience.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in English with internal and external clients.

• Ability to read and interpret engineering plans and specifications.

• Ability to perform engineering design calculations and prepare, review, and check engineering plans and studies.

• Ability to perform mathematical computations related to engineering design and analysis. • Ability to perform engineering design and drafting assignments.

• Should know CAD software and Microsoft Office applications.
