Job Title: Structural Bridge Inspection Team Leader

Position: Omsum Engineering is an engineering consulting firm serving the tri-state area and beyond. We provide comprehensive engineering and consulting services to the public and private sectors. We are seeking a Structural Bridge Inspection Team Leader in their Piscataway, NJ office.

The Bridge Inspection Team Leader will work independently to plan access, review structure data, perform field inspections and report observed conditions and perform structural capacity load ratings. Structure types will include bridges, culverts and overhead sign structures.

You will be involved in all phases of structural bridge inspection project development, including planning, scheduling, field inspections, load rating analysis, and report document preparation.

Qualifications and Experience:

Successful candidates should possess the following experience & certification(s):

• BS in Civil Engineering degree required

• With NJ PE license minimum 5-years of Bridge Inspection experience required or

• No PE license minimum 10-years of Bridge Inspection experience required

• Completion of FHWA Bridge Inspection Training Course NHI-130055 within last 5-years, and

• Completion of FHWA Bridge Inspection Training Course NHI-130053, if NHI-130055 training course taken more than five years ago

• Completion of FHWA Bridge Inspection Training Course NHI-130078

• Completion of any one FHWA Bridge Inspection Training Course NHI-130091 or NHI-130092 or NHI-135047.

• 1-year of minimum NJDOT Bridge Inspections experience required

• Experience in "CombIS" web-based software

• Experience in Load Ratings, such as "LARS Bridge" and "AASHTOWare Bridge Rating" software

• The yearly salary range for Structural Bridge Inspection Team Leader is $120k to $160k based on years of experience and certifications.
